 Eu não curto muito "Sepultura", mas tem os que gostam de "Metal". E olhem só que eu achei aqui na web, um vídeo(entrevista ) com Andreas Kisser, da cidade vizinha de São Bernardo dos Campos, que fala inglês MUITO BEM.

Não deixem de ouvir. É muito bom para praticar "listening" e nos espelharmos em brasileiros que falam muito bem inglês.

Two Brazil cities revoke transit fare hike

Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo agree to suspend increase in public transport fares, but protesters say they "want more".

Brazilian officials in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro have announced the reversal of the 10-cent increase in public transit fares, which sparked widespread protests across the nation.

Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes, Sao Paulo Mayor Fernando Haddad and Sao Paulo state governor Geraldo Alckmin said on Wednesday that the fare increase is now reversed.

The protests across the South American country which continued for a third day have evolved into communal outcries that have moved well beyond the original demand that public transportation fares be lowered. Protests are continuing in Rio's sister city Niteroi and in northeastern Brazil.

Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo, reporting from Sao Paulo, said that so far there were little reaction on the streets but social media, which fuelled the movement, is abuzz with reaction. 

"A lot of the movement participants say [on social media] that its a good start, but not quite enough. They want free public transport, especially in Sao Paulo," he said. 

Elizondo added that many protesters had told him that the protests go beyond the transit issue and calls for better public services in the country.

A WORD OF PROTEST AND INDIGNATION
I am now a teacher for 33 years, not to mention the three years I had worked as a volunteer teacher for underprivileged children while attending (Magistério) Preparation School for Teachers .I always loved my profession, although often  I cried, I got very stressed with the lack of students interest in learning and especially the neglect and disrespect of the them. During those more than 30 years I've seen and watched the decline of Brazilian education teaching. To teach in school, classrooms with more than 40 or 50 students, became a nightmare for me and most of the teachers.
I dedicated all those years doing my best, often going to work sick, in pain, educating and training many people. Initially as a Portuguese teacher and after  an English teacher. Some of them, as far as I know, today are Doctorate, Doctors, Lawyers, Judges, politicians ... and even well succeed in life. But I wanted to pursue a career as a teacher, the family pride. In the beginning of my career, early 1980s, a teacher was still respected, prized.
After trying and fighting a lot for retirement, which is nothing more than fair and well deserved, I was repeatedly denied by INSS  (National Social Security (Pension) Institute), finally in June, this year, 2013, I managed to get retired: A MINIMUM WAGE - LITTLE MORE THAN R$600,00 .
Can I stop working? Only the rent paid for a right to housing, is more than double that.
Needless to say one more word. Save the schoolteacher!

Vale a pena ser Professor?

UMA PALAVRA DE PROTESTO E INDIGNAÇÃO
Eu sou professora já há 33 anos, sem contar os 3 anos que já havia trabalhado como professora voluntária para crianças carentes enquanto cursava o Magistério.
Sempre amei minha profissão, embora muitas vezes chorei, me estressei muito pela falta de interesse dos alunos em aprenderem e principalmente pelo descaso e desrespeito dos alunos. Durante esses mais de 30 anos eu vi e assisti a decadência do ensino da educação brasileira. Dar aulas em escola, na sala de aula para turmas grandes mais de 40, 50 alunos, se tornou um pesadelo para mim e a maioria dos professores.
Dediquei esses anos todos fazendo o meu melhor, indo trabalhar muitas vezes doente, com dores, ensinando e formando tanta gente. Inicialmente como professora de Português e depois Inglês. Alguns dos que sei hoje são Doutores, Médicos, Advogados, Juízes, políticos..., e até bem sucedidos na vida. Mas eu quis seguir a carreira de professora, o orgulho da família. No começo da minha carreira, início de 1980 ainda um professor era respeitado, valorizado.
Depois de muito tentar e lutar pela aposentadoria, que nada mais é do que justo e merecido, tive negado várias vezes pelo INSS, finalmente em junho deste ano , 2013, consegui me aposentar: UM SALÁRIO MÍNIMO - POUCO MAIS DE R$ 600,00.
Dá para parar de trabalhar? Só o aluguel que pago, um direito a moradia, é mais que o dobro do que isso.
Não preciso dizer mais nenhuma palavra. Salve a professorinha!
